Pastor John Green

In July 1993, Pastor Johnny and Alice Green and their daughters Chanell and Kimberly arrived at Bethel Assembly as transferring church members searching for a home.   After four years at Bethel, they were transferred again to another part of the country and  returned to Bethel Assembly in 2000.   With exceeding joy, ten years from their initial arrival date in July 1993, they were confidently selected by the congregation as the 14^th pastors of Bethel Assembly of God.  In 1995, Alice began as a 2nd grade teacher for Bethel Christian Academy and upon her return with Pastor Johnny, she taught 5^th grade and in April 2001, she was selected as the next principal of Bethel Christian Academy.  They are very proud grandparents (Joshua) in March 2002 and expect a new arrival in June 2004.  Pastor Johnny and Alice express the Fruit of the Spirit in their daily lives to the church and the community; through “Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Faithfulness, and Self-Control.”   They bring a charged-up level of celebrating Jesus Christ and building warm and caring relationships as a primary focus of leadership and balance that focus with a compassion for the lost.  They are steadfast at building the pillars of the church; praise and worship, discipleship, and effective and affective ministry.
