Freedom & Liberty

“And I will walk at liberty, for I seek Your precepts.”  Psalm 119:45

The Declaration of Independence is an inspiring document proclaiming to all the world of our freedom and liberty.  But, freedom and liberty come with a price.  It did for the Patriots at the birth of our Nation and it still does for us today.  There is always someone wanting to impose their will and take our freedom and liberty away.

The same can be said of religious freedom and liberty.  There is always “someone” trying to take them away.  Whether it is by government restriction and regulation, political correctness, or the devil under the guise of temptations and addictions, the point is, our freedoms and liberties are always being threatened.

The Bible says, “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty” (2 Corinthians 3:17).  True freedom and liberty can only be found in Jesus Christ.  He added, “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32).

Biblical freedom and liberty can only stand the test of time through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  Through prayer, Bible reading, exercising our spiritual gifts, hanging out with Christian friends, and much more, can we truly experience God’s abundant life and His gift of freedom and liberty.

“Outsiders” will always try to impose their restrictions on your Biblical freedoms and liberties.  The Bible says, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly” (John 10:10)

Pray regularly to the Captain of our Salvation for His hand of protection on your life.
