The Word of Their Testimony

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony...”  Revelation 12:11

In Genesis, Adam was told to “tend and keep the garden.”  The word “keep” means to guard and protect.  His task was more than pulling deep rooted weeds.  His task was to keep out anything or anyone who would destroy the created work of God.  Well, we know the story.  Satan subtly entered the garden and destroyed a perfect beginning to life.

The spiritual battle we face is fierce, too.  We are to “tend and keep the garden” of our life as well.  Paul wrote that the devil is, “like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour” (2 Peter 5:8).  We need to guard the ramparts of our life and scan the horizon for the evil one who desires to destroy our life with God.

Spirited testimonies of the unleashing power of God are powerful weapons to fend off discouragement and bolster faith in Christ.  Testimonies give the church hope and fill us with reassuring optimism.  They instill in us an imaginable belief in God that He can do all things.

So, what has God done in your life?  Let’s share it with the church, publicly give God the praise and at the same time, help others “tend and keep their garden.”

If you have testimony to share, send me an Email (larrywenzel@aol.com) or contact the office so we can help others overcome the devil.
