Bethel's Seniors
In July 1983, a quiet phenonmenon happened in America - the number of those over the age of 65 surpassed the number of teenagers. America no longer is a youthful nation. Every day, beginning January 1, 1996, and for the next 19 years, 11,000 Americans will turn 50. By the year 2025 there will be two senior adults for every teenager. Those over 65 are the fastest growing age group.
The seniors at Bethel Assembly of God are called “Forever Young” and there’s a reason for that. They create that much needed stability and longevity for the church. Our seniors are very special to us and they have within them that same “gift” that God said would be given to each of us. We can use all the clichés in life referencing a particular group and the seniors are in that boat too…young at heart, tender in years, so many years young, and others. We chose Forever Young because it is best suited for today’s senior at Bethel Assembly in the way they live. Under the leadership of Ralph and Gina Castle, they are active, involved, and constantly moving.
