Larry Wenzel - Prayer Pastor

Pastor Larry and Nancy met in high school where they became high school sweethearts.  They married in 1975 after Pastor Larry finished a tour in the Navy.  Their grown children and spouses are actively involved in church.  They have five grandchildren.

Pastor Larry has been a minister with the Assemblies of God since 1985.  He and Nancy worked on a new church plant in the Annapolis suburbs for three years in the late 1980s and later pioneered and planted a church in College Park in the early 1990s where they pastored for more than 16 years.

He is an advisor for a national prayer ministry that monitors national and global news which coordinates with nearly 10,000 prayer partners across the nation as they pray for our leaders.

Pastor Larry runs several times a week, likes to take wildlife/nature photographs, plays disk golf, and likes to snorkel.  His dream vacation is to return to the Cayman Islands and visit Little Cayman where the population is less than 170 people.  It's an isolated island and he says, "it would be like vacationing on Gilligan's Island."  He enjoys fishing with his grandsons.

Nancy enjoys walking, jogging, and working out, as well as trying new recipes and reading up on the latest health tips. She loves meeting with other women.  What currently occupies much of her time is interacting with all of her grandchildren.  She's loving it!
